Ann Crittenden, the author of a groundbreaking book on motherhood in America, will be the featured speaker at a virtual public policy forum sponsored by the National Women’s Political Caucus of California on Friday, September 24, 2021. Based on her book The Price of Motherhood: Why the Most Important Job in the World is Still the Least Valued, the forum will illuminate how the issues Crittenden identified some 20 years ago have persisted and have finally become visible to the world at large due to the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on families, especially on mothers.
This event will be a Zoom meeting format – all proceeds will go to Women’s Leadership Fund (tax-deductible)

2020 Women’s Political Summit and Board Meeting
The 2020 election has ended, how did we do? What opportunities and challenges face women candidates in the coming election cycle? How can we build on our successes and shortcomings to advance women’s issues at the state and local levels?
Join NWPC California for our Women’s Political Summit to discuss these issues and more on Saturday, December 12th at Noon. During several sessions, we will break down the how women candidates fared in this cycle and the legislation that moved the needle towards equity, celebrate a couple of our sheroes, and talk about how local caucuses leaders are poised to help even more women candidates move the needle towards greater gender parity in elected offices.
On Sunday, December 13th from 3-6 p.m., join us as we elect the 2021-2022 NWPC California Board of Directors. All current NWPC California members are welcome to attend the meeting as we elect the incoming board.
Registration and pricing is available at https://mp.gg/i4xi8.
